Method
- Combine ingredients: In a saucepan, add everything but the vanilla.½ cup brown sugar, ¼ cup granulated sugar, ¾ cup water, 3 tbsp molasses, 1 tsp ground ginger, ½ tsp ground cinnamon, ¼ tsp nutmeg
- Bring to boil: Stir over medium heat until bubbling and the sugars dissolve.
- Simmer: Reduce heat and simmer 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally. The syrup will become fragrant and slightly thickened.
- Finish: Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.1 tsp vanilla extract
- Cool & Store: Allow syrup to cool before transferring to a clean, airtight jar. Refrigerate up to 2 weeks.
