We popped into Marmalade for a bit of brunch today and ended up absolutely adoring it. We both got exactly what we were craving.

The benedictino tocino (Bacon Benny with avocado) was only 240 mxn (13.25USD) and was EXACTLY what I wanted. I got the eggs medium but if you like it a little runny you could definitely go with soft, I know I will next time. The avocado tasted fresh and the bacon was thick and delicious. I highly recommend adding the hot sauce they offered if you’re good with spice.

We also got the Sándwich de Desayuno (breakfast sandwich) for 165 MXN (9.05 USD) which was on sourdough and was much more than expected when just ordering a breakfast Sammy— especially for the price!

The real stand out was that you had a handful of options they gave for salads including a blue cheese salad. When it’s a side you don’t really expect to have such a variety, especially ones that sound so delicious. 

For dessert we ordered the Tartine de Fresa (strawberry toast) for 195 MXN (10.75 USD) which was a handfuls of strawberries stacked on deliciously fresh goat cheese on toast with a balsamic reduction.

This might have been my favourite thing I’ve had on this trip so far (not including my all time favourite dish that we will review later). It was simple but all of the flavours complimented each other so well and was a delightful way to end a meal. 

We both got the jugo de fresa con limón y chía (strawberry juice with lemon and chia seeds) but we got them with mineral water because we love the bubbles 🫧. 

Everything here was made well and was extremely affordable. Highly recommend it for anyone. Many of the staff also spoke English and have English menus offered if you need it!

Hoy fuimos a Marmalade para tomar un brunch y terminamos amándolo por completo. Ambos obtuvimos exactamente lo que anhelábamos. El benedictino tocino (con aguacate) costaba solo 240 mxn (13,25 USD) y era EXACTAMENTE lo que quería. Compré los huevos medianos, pero si te gustan un poco líquidos, definitivamente puedes optar por huevos tiernos, sé que lo haré la próxima vez. El aguacate tenía un sabor fresco y el tocino estaba espeso y delicioso. Recomiendo encarecidamente agregar la salsa picante que ofrecieron si eres bueno con el picante. También nos dieron el Sándwich de Desayuno por 165 MXN (9.05 USD), que era de masa madre y fue mucho más de lo esperado al pedir un desayuno Sammy, ¡especialmente por el precio! Lo más destacado fue que tienes un puñado de opciones que ofrecían para ensaladas, incluida una ensalada de queso azul. Cuando se trata de un acompañamiento, realmente no esperas tener tanta variedad, especialmente aquellos que suenan tan deliciosos. 

De postre pedimos la Tartine de Fresa por 195 MXN (10,75 USD), que consistía en un montón de fresas apiladas sobre una rebanada de pan masa madre, recubierta de queso de cabra deliciosamente fresco y una reducción de balsámico. Esta podría haber sido mi comida favorita que he probado en este viaje hasta ahora (sin incluir mi plato favorito de todos los tiempos que revisaremos más adelante). Era simple pero todos los sabores se complementaban muy bien y era una forma deliciosa de terminar una comida. 

Ambos tomamos jugo de fresa con limón y chía pero los tomamos con agua mineral porque nos encantan las burbujas🫧. 

Todo aquí se hizo bien y fue extremadamente asequible. Lo recomiendo encarecidamente a cualquiera. Gran parte del personal también habla inglés y ofrece menús en inglés si los necesita.
