Starbucks Holiday Drinks 2024: Drinks That Will Make you Love the Holidays All Over Again

The season of cozy drinks and festive flavors is nearly upon us! Every year, Starbucks rolls out its holiday drink menu, and the 2024 lineup is sure to spread cheer—though with a few bittersweet twists. While there’s an abundance of beloved holiday beverages returning, there are also some notable absences that have left fans shaking their heads. This year, there will be no Gingerbread Latte, and no Eggnog Latte, AGAIN! I can’t help but feel a little devastated—especially when those drinks hold such a special place in our festive traditions. But, let’s not dwell too much on what we can’t have, and instead focus on what we can enjoy this holiday season. So, here’s what we can expect from Starbucks’ 2024 holiday drink menu (which will be officially confirmed on November 7, 2024):

1. Caramel Brûlée Latte

One of the most popular staples of Starbucks’ holiday drink menu, the Caramel Brûlée Latte is back to add a little sweet, caramelized joy to your holiday season. Featuring smooth espresso, steamed milk, and a rich caramel brûlée sauce, it’s like sipping on dessert. Whether you prefer it hot or iced, this drink is the perfect way to indulge in something sweet without going overboard. Trust me, it’s like a warm hug in a cup!

Starbucks Sugar Cookie Almond Milk Latte

Another returning favorite is the festive Sugar Cookie Almond Milk Latte. This drink combines the delightful flavors of sugar cookie syrup with a shot of espresso and almond milk, topped off with red and green sprinkles for that extra holiday sparkle. While it’s usually served iced, you can enjoy it hot if you’re looking for something cozy. Sure, it’s not the healthiest Starbucks option, but hey, it’s the holidays—treat yourself! This drink is the ideal choice for those who want to feel like they’re indulging in a sugar cookie without the calories (or the effort of baking).

3. Iced Gingerbread Oat Milk Chai

Last year, Starbucks introduced the Iced Gingerbread Oat Milk Chai, and it was such a hit that it’s making a return in 2024. This non-dairy option is a perfect blend of gingerbread syrup, chai spices, and oat milk, topped with a frothy gingerbread cold foam. It’s the perfect bridge between fall and winter, with all the warmth of holiday spices but still cool enough for a refreshing iced drink. If you’re looking for something with a little spice and a little sweetness, this is the drink for you! But a little word of warning for you— this is not the same gingerbread syrup as the OG gingerbread latte. So don’t try to order it without the chai. It won’t be the same! The chai adds to this new gingerbread flavor a LOT and makes it a WAY better drink.

4. Peppermint Mocha

Ah, the Peppermint Mocha. A holiday classic that never fails to bring a little extra cheer. This year marks the 22nd anniversary of this minty favorite on the Starbucks Holiday Drink Menu, and it’s back with all the festive flavors you know and love: espresso, steamed milk, peppermint syrup, and a swirl of mocha. The perfect balance of creamy chocolate and refreshing peppermint, you can enjoy this drink hot, iced, or blended (just in case you want to shake things up a little). And for all the peppermint lovers out there, don’t worry—you’re getting a second minty option this year!

5. Peppermint White Chocolate Mocha

Yes, that’s right! The Peppermint Mocha is not alone this year—there’s a sweeter, creamier sister to the classic: the Peppermint White Chocolate Mocha. If you’re a fan of white chocolate, this drink is an absolute must-try. It combines the richness of white chocolate syrup with the coolness of peppermint, creating a drink that feels both festive and indulgent. Just like its peppermint mocha cousin, you can have it hot, iced, or blended, so there are plenty of ways to enjoy this minty treat. Note: this image is from 2020 when it was the toasted white chocolate peppermint mocha- but we are pretty sure it will look close to the same.

6. Chestnut Praline Latte

There’s no better way to evoke the feeling of the holiday season than with the Chestnut Praline Latte. This drink is a warm hug in a cup, with its cozy blend of chestnut and praline flavors. It’s smooth and sweet, but not overly rich—making it the perfect drink for a chilly winter day. Topped with whipped cream and praline crumbles, it’s a festive treat that will make you feel all kinds of warm and fuzzy inside. Whether you’re running errands or relaxing by the fire, this drink makes the holidays feel a little bit brighter.

7. Salted Pecan Crunch Cold Brew

Something new this year is the Salted Pecan Crunch Cold Brew. Building off the success of the fall’s Salted Pecan Cream Cold Brew, Starbucks is offering this festive drink with a crunchy twist. The drink itself features a cold brew base infused with pecan flavor, topped with a rich sweet cream cold foam and finished with chopped pecans for an extra crunch. If you’re a fan of cold brews and love the salty-sweet combo, this one’s going to be your new favorite. It’s an exciting new option for those who want to stay on the festive side without going for the usual sugary drinks.

8. Cran-Merry Orange Refresher

Cran-Merry Orange Refresher

A fresh addition to the 2024 Starbucks holiday drink menu, the Cran-Merry Orange Refresher takes a break from coffee and brings the bright flavors of cranberry and orange to the forefront. This fruity drink is light and refreshing, and you can customize it based on your preferences. For a tart and zesty drink, opt for it mixed with lemonade or sparkling water. If you’re in the mood for something a little creamier, coconut milk is a great option. It’s a perfect drink for those who are craving something a little less indulgent but still want to celebrate the flavors of the season. What’s Missing?

Now, here’s where the mood shifts a little. Despite all the incredible drinks that are returning or making their debut, there are a couple of major absences that have left me heartbroken. Once again, there will be no Gingerbread Latte and no Eggnog Latte on the holiday drink menu. Yes, you read that right. For the third year in a row, Starbucks has decided to skip these classic drinks, and honestly, it’s a little devastating. I don’t know about you, but the Gingerbread Latte and Eggnog Latte have always been the essence of the holidays for me. Their cozy, spiced, creamy flavors are a tradition I look forward to every year.

Instead of throwing a pity party (okay, maybe just a little one), let’s try to focus on the many other delicious drinks that Starbucks is offering us. Even though we won’t get the Gingerbread Latte or Eggnog Latte this year, we do have a lot of fun, festive flavors to enjoy. Whether you’re sipping a Caramel Brûlée Latte by the fire or indulging in a Peppermint White Chocolate Mocha, there’s still plenty to make the holiday season merry and bright. And maybe keep an eye on our recipes section of our website, we are determined to make the perfect gingerbread latte dupe this year!

In conclusion, the Starbucks holiday menu for 2024 is packed with returning favorites and some exciting new additions. While it’s a little sad to say goodbye to the Gingerbread and Eggnog Lattes for another year, there’s still so much to enjoy. From the warm, comforting Chestnut Praline Latte to the fresh, fruity Cran-Merry Orange Refresher, there’s truly something for every taste. So, get ready to cozy up, sip on your favorite holiday beverage, and let the seasonal spirit flow! Oh– and make sure you mark your calendars for red cup day November 14th!

Much love,

  1. This post gives me the warm and fuzzies. I worked at Starbucks for 5 years, 4 of them being in the retail setting. The holiday drinks always mark the start of the fun season!

    1. The first sip of a holiday drink always makes me feel like it’s going to be okay for a little bit! It’s our first holiday season out of the PNW so without snow, holiday bevvys is the only thing to make it feel like christmas!
